Bs TailSlide

The tailslide is kinda like the noseslide, but it's more difficult! Instead of sliding on the nose, you'll have to slide on the (duh!) tail of your board.

Just start in the ollie position, but put your back foot a little more towards the heel side of your board.

Approach the obstacle facing it. Ride parallel to the obstacle with some speed. Leave 20 to 30 centimetres between you and the obstacle.

Ollie 90 degrees bs. Land with your tail on the obstacle. Put pressure on your back foot.

Slide down the obstacle. If you want to get of, slide the tail of your board of the obstacle.

Ride on and see how impressed people are!

Important: Don't ollie to high on the object because this will make the slide more difficult. If you're a beginner, practise at the end of the object. Once you can do it, you can make your slides longer.

Variations: Do a trick in or out the tailslide like: kickflip tailslide or tailslide shove-it.

Casper Flip

Before you start: this is not the freestyle casperflip everyone knows.

Ok for people that don’t know what a casperflip is: Stand with your back foot on the tail, and your front foot under your board. Flip a half flip and a shove it and land on the Griptape. That’s a casperflip.

1. First place your feet in a normal kickflip stance, bend your knees and pop the board.

2. Now as you are sliding your front foot towards the nose, push your feet down so that your front foot is under the board (picture 3 and 4), when you do this make sure that your back foot is in the air all the time.

3. Now your front foot is under your board.. Move your feet to the side so that the board flips a half kicfklip and a full shove-it (you can also move your front foot up, then the board flips like a impossible, but that’s up to you), Your back foot is still in the air.

4. Then if you see the griptape put your back foot on the board and land.

(If you try the flip, it's good to do the motion without the board, cause the whole casperflip is done by your front foot, and don't forget: your front foot never leaves the board!

Today sK8 Trick Tips - KickFlip

Things to remeber: The Ollie must be learnt before trying a kickflip. Using these pointers along with the you can make the kickflip an extension of your Ollie.

Step 1: Your back foot should be placed at the tip of the tail and your front foot in the middle of the board but with your heel hanging off to the side. You may find it easier to Kickflip if you hang your foot off the edge further.
Step 2: You have hit your tail and now your front foot is rising up the board, here is when the Kickflip takes place.
Step 3: As the front foot rises up the board your toes are approaching the nose of your board, at this point you have to continue the forward motion and off to the side of your board. Once the front foot reaches the nose of your board give your foot a flick off to the side of the board, this will flip the board. The flick of the foot come from your ankle.

Step 4: The board should be flipping now. You should remeber to keep centered over the board, don't lean back or forwards. This will keep the board directly underneath you.

Step 5: Watch the board rotate underneath you and prepare to catch it, once the board has flipped fully and you can see the griptape, catch the board, first with the back foot to stop the board from over flipping and then the front foot as it returns from the flick.
Step 6: Land with your weight centered and your knees bent.
Step 7: You have just landed your first Kickflip

Today Sk8 Trick Tip: HellFlip

Things to remeber: Practise makes perfect. Try and lean back more then with a kickflip to keep the board center.

Step 1: Place your front foot hanging over the front bolts and your back foot on the tail. Once you have good balance pop the tail and slide your front foot up and outwards.

Step 2: This should cause the board to spin. Once it's spinning wait untill you can see the grip tape.

Step 3:
Once you see the grip tape place your feet on the board and bring your weight down. Don't forget to bend your knees

Some skater think, casper is hard trick to complete. Actually it not exactly like they thinking of.. Follow this step-by-step to do casper..

Trick Tips - Casper

Foot position:
Things to remeber: Keep your feet from touching the ground at all times.

Step 1: Try to do the same thing as you would with a kickflip but don't put as much pressure into the flip. Flip the board half way and work on getting that right.

Step 2: Once you have that part down, try to get your front foot under the board. Raise your front foot up from the ground to hold the board in the stance.

Step 3: Pull your front foot up and forward, your back foot down and backwards. This should cause it to flip and rotate at the same time. When you see the grip push your weight down and try and land it.

Rodney Mullen is widely considered the most influential skateboarder in the history of the skateboarding. The majority of ollie and flip tricks he invented throughout the 1980's, including the flatground ollie, the Kickflip, the Heelflip, and the 360 flip are regularly done in modern vertical and street skateboarding.

Despite Alan Gelfand's justifiable fame for inventing the ollie air (Gelfand's maneuver being primarily a vert or pool oriented trick) Mullen is responsible for the invention and development of the street ollie. The ability to pop the board off of the ground and land back on the board while moving has quite likely been the most significant development in modern skateboarding. This invention alone would rank Mullen the most important skateboarder of all time.
